Twilight Flame left the pub and picked up his wagon. Where was his property, again? He looked up and down the street. Fortuna said it was down the street and... and....

He decided to walk down a street and figure it out himself. He happened to stumble upon it first try. He looked around.

He was surprised he'd gotten it for so cheap, although he wasn't sure what the exchange rate from his home currency to Dinars was. It was a very large plot of land totally surrounded by trees. A river ran through the middle (and around his house), which meant a underground water up next to the surface. That would make it easier to irrigate (much unlike the complex pipes at his old wheat farm).

The dirt path went right up to the small house, following the river, and finally crossing it with a wooden bridge.

The house was small-ish, having one of everything, even a bath tub. The bed was a pretty bad-shaped matress on a wooden frame that probably wouldn't support Twilight's weight. There was quite a storage area, though. Twilight started to unload his supplies into his house, making an inventory as he went.

He stopped when he happened upon a claymore. It was battered, scratched, and chipped. The tip had broken off. It wasn't worth the metal it was made out of. And yet, it was a reminder. He hung it above the small fireplace, with a dented, holey shield with a horse on it.

After he finished moving in, he made an inventory of what he needed to do to the house.

The walls could use a couple renovations. The roof was patchy in places. A wall could be added between the kitchen and the living room. He needed a new door, and he could do without the toilet (he couldn't use it anyway). A well needed to be dug with a pump to simulate running water.

After that, he hooked into the plow and started doing one field. He was already late in the season, so he needed to get started now, if he was to have a decent crop.
